A number of employers have signed up to GAIN, offering temporary work experience placements. More work placements are being sought, particularly with larger employers.

We build relationships with local employers from a wide variety of sectors who understand the support GAIN clients require.

Ideally, individuals are offered work in a local employment project or equivalent placement with a local employer – this could be a larger local employer or a smaller social enterprise – but in both cases the individual will be undertaking real work but in a supportive environment.

We understand that this supportive environment will take time. Our approach is realistic about the participation rates of employers and we aim to build confidence among employers. We also want to add value to your experience with the project and offer you training, workshops and events to improve your understanding of the work GAIN does and see how you can boost your business.
