- To create a new market place among switched-on employers in Lambeth, with an enterprise that is attractive to both employers and jobseekers.

- To provide an efficient, professional and empathetic matching and support service for jobseekers.

- To work closely with referral bodies in providing a new pathway to work for those finding it hard to get back into mainstream employment.

Based in the centre of Brixton, GAIN covers all of Lambeth, but with a particular focus on Brixton, Vassal, Stockwell, Larkhall and Bishop’s ward.

GAIN will provide a brokering service between referral agencies such as Job Centre Plus (JCP), the Lambeth Primary Care Trust (PCT) and adult education on the one side and a group of supportive employers including larger local employers, social enterprises and members of the London Employers’ Coalition on the other side.

These organisations are prepared to be more inclusive in offering employment. In the long term GAIN aims to become an employer in key sectors, offering temporary work for people.
